Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Record patient medical history and vital signs - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Skills:
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques for dental x-rays - Strong dental assisting skills, including chairside assistance and instrument sterilization - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws - Understanding of human anatomy relevant to dental procedures As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist in providing high-quality dental care to patients.
Your skills in medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, dental assisting, HIPAA compliance, anatomy knowledge, medical coding, CAD software, infection control, and medical records management will be essential in ensuring efficient and effective dental procedures.
